Projects > The Deming Speedway

In the backwoods of Western Washington, near the town of Deming, a 1/6 mile oval clay track lies nestled against the Nooksack River. The roaring engines of sprint cars can be heard every Friday night from April to September with drivers as young as seven-years-old behind the wheel. Paul and Bev Lemley have owned and operated the Deming Speedway for more than thirty years. They have put their time, money and lives into the sport of sprint car racing, and so has the community of racers they support.
