N.C.W. Pro West Rodeo

Part of the N.C.W. District Fair in Waterville the Pro West Rodeo features cowboys and cowgirls from all over the Northwest.  With classic events such as calf roping, bulldogging and bull riding, horse races also take place in between rodeo events.  The rodeo finishes each day with the famous pony express race.  Run by mostly native American families, the Pony express race is actually a relay in which riders switch between 3 horses over three laps.  Fast, dangerous and intense are adjectives that do not do justice in describing the race.
