Catch Up: The Omak Stampede and World Famous Suicide Race

Every August, for a week, some of the best cowboys and cowgirls converge in little Omak, Washington for one of the best rodeos I have been to; The Omak Stampede. The Stampede is a three day rodeo finished off every day with an incredible display of Native American heritage and horsemanship--The Suicide Race.  10-12 competitors charge down a few hundred feet of a hillside with about a 60 degree slope and plunge into the Omak river, at night.
